The installer that worked on Vista was downloaded on May 11. I used this installer to install onto Win7 and installation was successful. Compilation was normal during install process. This installer has a date modified stamp of Monday May 09,2011 4:25:14 PM.

The installer that failed on Win7 was downloaded on June 7. It has a date modified stamp of Friday May 27,2011 3:12:14 PM.

My guess is that it is not an OS issue. You might want to check any changes made to the installer between then and now.

I have a new issue when I tested the IB_SQL (4.9.14) created. When I use it to open and browse a FB database, I get the following error message:

ISC ERROR CODE:335544472

ISC ERROR MESSAGE:
Your user name and password are not defined. Ask your database administrator to set up a Firebird login.

This is despite having the username and password auto-filled with the default SYSDBA and ********* (I assume masterkey). I need to re-enter the password (masterkey) for it to work. However, the next time I re-open and browse the same database, I get the same error message again. I need to go through the process of re-entering masterkey again. Checking or unchecking the Remember? check box doesn't seem to do anything. I hope you take a look into this too.
