Geoff,
However, due in part to the strong push to get IBO ported to Lazarus, there
have been a substantial number of improvements to Lazarus itself such that I
can maintain a very clean code base between Delphi and Lazarus.
Over the past months I have seen both FPC and Lazarus grow to meet my needs
in a rather quick and responsive manner. The momentum is quits strong and I
believe I am catching it at just the right time so as to be right at the
point where it is ready to become a mainstreamed part of things.
My sense is I am getting in at the ground floor of a great opportunity with
FPC and Lazarus. I recommend taking a serious look at the efforts to port
ibo5 to Lazarus. In a matter of only months from now, there should be a very
polished and well documented way to create IB Objects apps in Lazarus.
