I will repeat what I wrote some months ago ...

*I* had problems with customer sites in the early days ... FB1 timeframe ... and
it was eventually proven to be a windows problem. This is still the root of your
problem, and PERSONALLY I would be looking to why the application crash is
happening. All the 'fixes' to force things to be committed are still relying on
windows actually writing the data to disk ... no write something WILL be wrong?
So even in my view bodging things to cope with a particular crash is not the
solution.

That said, it would seem that a potential problem has been identified IN
FIREBIRD ? Which is where I thought the problem was in the first place. And as
in the past while Jason has successfully hidden problems in Firebird, it is the
core code which needs fixing. So this needs to be escalated to the Firebird list
as few Firebird developers read this list.
