Flavio - This used to be nice and easy when we could just read the security
database and do what ever we wanted. As you have found, the 'improved
security' can cause a number of annoying problems. I only access Firebird via
PHP now, so the security of users is managed outside of the database, and I
only need one user to access Firebird. In the past we said - look at the code
in ib_sql to see how you managed user entries, but I'm not sure that applies
so much today. It may be worth looking at Flamerobin as a more modern example
of how you do it?
