>I am oblivious about how to 'clear' the selection.Some time ago Jason moved the FAQ application (originally written by me as an ISAPI application) and merged it within the scope of the larger 'community' application (which uses Indy/CGI). Whatever he did then, it broke the layered search, i.e., you can't do a "drill-down" search via the category and sub-category any more.

If you stick with the lowest-level topics in the rightmost panel and don't touch the other 2 panels, the search works fine and the 'Reset Previous Search' button also behaves properly.
