I guess 99% of your problems porting IBO to D2009 is due to the
Unicode changes. Trying to help:

1) Marco Cantu has published a book that may help you:

2) www.delphifeeds.com has tons of links to blogs and information
published by Delphi people regarding this subject.

3) Dr. Bob also published some docs: http://www.drbob42.com/tiburon/index.htm

4) There was some sessions in CodeRage III that may help you with
unicode porting. You can freely download them from http://cc.codegear.com/coderage

Based on the fact that many complex projects like DeveloperExpress,
ReportBuilder, FastReport, Infopower, FIBPlus, etc. are already ported
to D2009, I guess that the major problem is that you could not find
enough time to work on the subject yet.
