There are a number of things that have changed between FB1.5 and FB2
which are documented in the FB2 notes. Personally I get annoyed at some
of the changes which seem to have little logical reason and are more
related to 'personal choice'. IBO has always been transparent to a
number of 'problems' in the original Interbase, and these latest changes
are making it more and more difficult to provide a version of IBO that
can talk to different servers in parallel. So much so that I suspect
that it may be necessary to drop some of the compatibility and have a
switch to provide an FB2 only mode ? AlterUser is an example
I know that Jason runs large systems with - I Think - FB1.5, and it is
unlikely that he will be switching those for some time. He has said that
getting an FB2 system up for testing was a problem, and so he is only
really now finding his feet on FB2 'upgrades'. The same applies to the
newer versions of BDS which cost money for little apparent gain.

The latest gismos are nice, but please be patient and lets document the
problems and TRY and work out compatible solutions for things that are
simply incompatible ;)
