My blanket statement does indeed have reference to everything in the
Firebird 2 RC3 release notes.
Sorry I wasn't more clear, but I wanted to get the release out and if anyone
wants to know what work I've done they need to read the Firebird release
notes.
As far as I'm aware, everything new in FB2RC3 is now supported but I am
awaiting any further problem notices.
Also, this would have been done much faster but, unfortunately, I had
trouble for some time getting FB2RC3 to work on my machine so I couldn't
test and confirm things. Ramil was a big help and did some coding for me as
well.
I eventually fiddled around enough to run the command tools to uninstall and
reinstall the service manually. For some reason the installer didn't
configure it correctly and the service would not start up on my machine.
That user function is a brand new issue that I have not as yet confirmed.
It is on my radar to address. From my recollection, there is no mention of
anything that should have changed in the release notes of Firebird. If it
has changed then the Firebird team may have broken something.
