For reasons best understood by himself, Holger decided to send out a
newsletter to his IBExpert users and other contacts in Germany,
announcing the Firebird 2.0 release. There was no authority from the
Firebird Project to do so, since the release hasn't happened
yet. (Holger isn't even on the Firebird Project team!! much less
having any authority to announce a release unilaterally!!) If you
try to find the downloads, you won't find them. :-)

Actually, Holger told us he had sent out a correction in a later
mailout to his IBExpert customers.

But there is substance to the rumour that the release is ready to go. :-)
