I have no comments since I cannot duplicate, nor have I ever experienced
such a disparate timing in prepare of the same statement across the 2
component sets. I use them both extensively (_IB for GUI and IBO for
reporting). The only difference beween my use and yours is that I never use
select *. I'm always explicit with my field choice. Have you followed the
prepare thru the source code to see what different path they take?
