No I hoped I was clear enough.

The IB_comboBox.width := 85

IB_ComboBox.style := csDropDownList

Now .. I need the dropdownlists width to be eg. 155.

I this now clear?

Do you want the width of the dropdownlist to be wider than the width
of the IB_Combobox or have you simply not set the property Style to
csDropDownList? I don't think the first make much sense, and if the
latter - I'm impressed that you managed to write the solution in the
subject field of your question!
