Sorry, I just noticed that the error(Isc Error Code: 335544606) is
coming directly from the server. The EXTRACT keyword has been
implemented in IB 6.0, so it should be there in later versions of
Interbase and all the versions of Firebird.

Can you use IB_Monitor to see what the query that is actually sent
looks like? It's just to see if and/or how IBO changes the query.
