It is safe, warm and dry.
It is tru that you don't need it. The embedded client also knows how to do remote connections too.
However, I recognize it is possible that it may not work with older versions of InterBase as well so I plan to finish the
ability to swap clients as Nando and I have been working on.

You-dont-need-two-different-client-libraries-to-do-that. fbembed.dll
is enough.

BTW it has one, in a patch that's rusting in some drawer of Jason's
desk. ;-)
But you don't need it.
