Amne: [IBO] IB 6.0.2 and XP Slow Connect
I've tried all the following on a new XP Pro box (with RAID) running XP Pro
2002/SP1.
- turn off system resotore on all drives
- rename db.gdb to db.ib
- gfix isc4.gdb to read_only
- set isc4.gdb read only property to True
- set cpu affinity for run32dll.exe to CPU0 but somewhere/somehow it always
resets to both CPU0 and CPU1 selected.
After all of the above, connect and even disconnect is slow (30+ seconds)
What else can I do? Convert to FireBird?
Thanks for any help on this, and a tip of the hat to MS.
