Don, I don't know about you, but I always have a local server
available since the advent of Firebird embedded. :-)
How else? Well, pick a file format or invent one, and then find or
develop import/export utilities. I guess IB_Export/IB_Import were
developed to reach that goal, but as seen they're half-baked. Your
IB_DataPump solution might well meet Don's requirements.
Otherwise Milan's fbexport (to be found on Sourceforge) might help.
It acts pretty much like a selective gbak.
