Semantically and etymologically, the word "simplistic" has no connotation
with "simpleton", either. It is rooted in the word "single". "One size
fits all" and "One ring to rule them all" are simplistic rules.
Despite your vitriolic and unprovoked attack on *me*, the fact remains that
the rule "The more cache you allocate the faster the system will go" is
simplistic (even if **you** don't believe that it is). It's not a matter
of "opinion" but of empirical fact. A lot of us have already been down
that road.
