I think one of the problem here is the lack of any sensible roadmap from
Borland. While it looks as if there will be another release of Delphi,
those of us who were Builder shops have had to put up with the same sort
of treatment that resulted in Firebird.

Personally I'm happy with an older build on IBO on Builder5 for
maintaining legacy systems, and have switched to PHP5 for all new
development work.

Jason's path is not quite so clear cut, as there is at least some
indication that Delphi9 will appear - but we don't know when - and are
probably not even confident that Borland will actually deliver.
