Hi Jason,

I noticed that you dropped part of what I sent through to
support metadata data extraction in Firebird v1.5.

Specifically the addition of the detection of the Firebird
version string (and the associated call to the function in
the metadata unit that parses this information).

This means that the extract will not work as expected for
FB 1.5, contrary to the information in the release notes,
because the metadata extract unit has no way of detecting
whether it is talking to FB 1.5 without this information.

Please let me know what you intend to do about the Firebird
version string. I need this for the metadata extract, I can
get it independently if necessary.

Note: My testing against IB5.6 indicates that Interbase does
not care if you ask for databaseinfo that it does not have.
So the addition of the request for the Firebird version str
does not break Interbase access requests.
