Thanks for these. Using the above as an example, would I set up my modem
to dial-up to that number? And that would get me connected straight to the
Internet? So that I could then go and clear my mailboxes, just as I do
with my normal ISP account at home?

Sorry for the dumb questions. We don't have anything similar to that here...
