leave your query intact and set GridLinks of your LookupCombo to the
field(s) you want to appear in the drop down list.

I had the same problems year ago. Told it to Jason also, but seems that nothing has happened.
Sometimes I want to show more than one column in Combobox and then it happens.
The LookupCombo has also other problems - it can't calculate it's witdh correctly when there is more than one column - it's too narrow.
And it doesn't create horizontal scrollbar, so the last column is cut short.
Usually in these cases the too long lines are shown as hints, but not here.
