In this instance, I use an accompanying stringlist with item, value pairs,
the index into the string list matches the combo positions... just another
idea

Thank you all for your tips. The combo box-version sounded quite good,
but the problem with this option is that the lookup fields are linked
with two primary keys, not one. But I guess I'll figure something
out.... (I hope)
