It's not an answer to your question, but have you tried the IB_Date
component?
a) it should (could) work
b) if something related to date handling has to be fixed, I would
prefer fixing it in a specialized component first
c) TDBDate (standard VCL) I think is even worse ;)
final: what edit mask did you define?
