I leave the application on the server, put the gds32.dll in the same
folder as the app, share the app folder for the users I want to use the
system and Presto -- I have installed all the clients

Yes you're right. The only thing needed is gds32.dll.
But if you rely on error messages to know what error code means, then
you will need the message file interbase.msg.
I only copy gds32.dll in the same dir as my app.
