Only a few months ago it looked as if I would have to wait
some considerable time for broadband, but some local
political pressure has turned that around, and despite a
three day wait while they actually made it work I'm online -
with a static IP address.
I still have to work out how to set up access back through
the modem/router ( anybody got a 'how to' on the conexant
chipset ;) ), but if you get stuck I could provide a
temporary home on one of my machines.
