We have hundreds of databases around the place that are independently
updated via an update script... as the structure is modified over time. I
was curious to see if any had drifted apart.

My first test - gave hundreds of differences which I knew was plain wrong.

My second test between a different set gave 6 diferences. I checked the
first two - they were a lie - so I junked it. Details - the difference was
reported in data types of various fields.

I generally do what Geoff does - dump the metadata and use beyond compare...
I was hoping this would automate teh process somewhat. :-)
