The way it works (I think) is that the newsgroup gets (supposedly) every
message that is sent out from the list, just as if it were a
recipient. When a message misses, one can only suppose that it was a "hard
bounce" (which goes back to yahoogroups and just gets swallowed). So maybe
you are just unlucky with your timings, having the misfortune to post at a
time when the news server is not responding.
