PS. Have a look in <firebird install dir>\examples\v5\ib_udf.sql for details
of all the extenal functions supplied in the ib_udf.dll and how to make the
database aware that they exist. There's some good stuff in there.

Also, get hold of the beta docs for Interbase, and check out the developer's
guide - it has a chapter or two on using udfs.
