I dont do this. I thought the params are automatically assigned their values
through the InsertSQL property(automatically bound).

No thanks. What's needed are the following:

1. The source DDL for the stored procedure that isn't working.
2. The DDL source for the table that is being inserted to.
3. The Delphi code where you assign values to the parameters for the stored
procedure, e.g. your BeforeInsert BeforePost code.
4. The output from the SQL monitor, starting at where you initiate an
insert (clear the output window of the monitor just before you click the
Insert button).
5. The SQL for the dataset.
6. The SQL for the InsertSQL property.

Please gather these pieces into one text file, adding comments to indicate
the classes of the components. If it's compact enough, post it to the list
as a message. If not, upload it to the Files area
(http://www.yahoogroups.com/files/ibobjects) with a title on it like "Dion's
Date Conversion Problem".
