I think that, as usual, the best things are only for IB_ ("native" components), not IBO (TDataSet stuff).
I'm using IB_ and it's set of visual controls, and they are *far* superior than VCL. Add that the sinergy of IB_ with it's visual controls is real power under your keyboard ;)
More, if you discover a bug you can patch it and have it included in the next release, a thing that VCL does not provide...
