Sorry again, all. What was I thinking, that the values would jump into the
stored procedure
automatically from the buffer fields entered in the grid(would be nice
though!).

Helen, I take it you mean a literal trim(as in make it short and sweet), and
not as in ltrim !

Why not show us the code you are using to assign the params and execute the
DML query?
