I know I am too late to help for your immediate required but anyway...

I cannot reproduce the problem here. Indeed I cannot setup the query
so that a datetime value cast as time is actually editable (it always
ends up readonly in my queries). I suggest that more information may
be required before I can understand what may be happening.
