Get the latest. version 4.2 Ea. It is not slow any more.
There was an inadvertent change a while back which made the TIBOQuery
retrieve IndexDefs which it certainly does not need.

If you want to tweak what you have just comment out the call to
FIndexDefs.Update in the InternalOpen method of the TIBODataset class in the
IBODataset.pas unit.
