Until I have server side support for the bit manipulations I do not
want to introduce these changes in the primary release.

If you want to maintain your own copy of the bitcheck controls that is
fine with me - I do not anticipate other changes to that code in the
near future, so it will be just a matter of keeping your unit until I
can provide a full implementation.

I dont mind saying that the feature is only available in certain
versions. But I do want full support in those versions - including
search mode and the ability to perform the equivalent operations in
triggers and stored procedures. Both requirements need server side
support.


I do appreciate the suggestion - it is a reminder of an aspect I had
put on hold quite some time ago. As soon as I have a chance to
revisit my UDF code I will try to get this implemented.
