Perhaps you need a different mail reader, I get all of the messages,
individually, however as I type this I am off-line.
I use Pegasus Mail, and it works quite well, I start up, hit the
check/send mail button, it gets the messages, then I select Enter
Offline Mode, and hang up the connection. Later once I have read and
responded to mail, I leave Offline mode and hit the check/send mail
button again. It realises it's not connected, and dials out, when I
am done,.I can either go offline again, or leave the mailreader, and
hangup.
