Vivid dreams are a sign of high intelligence. I know, because I used to be
intelligent.<g>
About 20 years ago, I placed second in the state chess championship. If I
could have won the last game, I would have taken first place with a 5-0
record. I knew the game was won. I had the best position, but I just could
not find it, so I offered the draw, and tied with my opponent at 4-0-1. I
took second because he beat me on tie break points. I struggled for days to
find the winning combination, but just couldn't. Then, about 6 months later,
I had a dream. It was a real life chess board, with animated characters,
kind of like "Alice in Wonderland". The winning move made it into my dream.
I got out of bed, set the board up, and sure enough it was there. Strangest
dream I ever had, and not many people believe me. Now that second place
trophy sits on my mantle, as a constant reminder.
In other words.... Dream on!
