When trying to use an IB_Date in my existing app the mask edit
features don't work - ie if I delete the date the control is
completely blank and entering 01012001 gives an error.

However if I set up a new app with the same query etc the mask works -
ie deleting the date leaves / / and entering just numbers is fine.

I can't see what the difference in the two situations is. Any
suggestions?
