You can't backstep and check where the 'confilct' is?

I only use IBO Native grids so I don't have any problems.

The thing you should try is running an IB_Monitor, and
capture the SQL passing to the database. This offen throws
up answers to silly problems, and should at least tell you
what IBO is looking for at each step. Not sure how it
interacts with DevExpress - TeeChart is as far as I go, and
that needs all the data anyway.
