I think it is sufficiently documented. What I think the problem is people
just aren't looking in the right place for the information they need.
I'll see about making sure what has been written is where it should be.
I certainly am not going to write in a single email something that took me 5
years to put together. It's just way beyond the scope of it. Even after
three 10 hour days the 17 attendees of the IBO workshop were pretty brain
fried.
It's simple, just turn it on and see what happens. The best peek you get is
watching the SQL trace monitor. Other than that, you have the sources which
you are welcome to explore.
