If you need to process a large volume of data on the local disk.
Because Paradox does not have transaction and integrity constraints
imposed by all of its processing, it is possible to massage large
volumes of data (locally) very quickly - possibly faster than what you
could get out of IB, although it still depends on exactly what you are
doing.
