.. Insert your favourite 2 cents joke here...
About component placement - into one palette page fit many components. I
have always lots of room left (of course I'm using big 21" screen"). But my
palette is full of pages - IBO alone put _9_ pages there. RXLibrary give 4,
add some others and I have to scroll through my pages.
So I would like to have more components in one page - like QReport contains
all components in only one page.
About newbies. When I get into my hands new software, the help is NOT the
first thing I read. If it contains manuals (I fondly remember the good old
days when you got with Borland products 5-7 thick books) I start reading
with getting started book - to get the idea how to basically work with it.
And then come the other books. I use Help file only when I have some trouble
with specific component or method, because it's quite uncomfortable to click
through it.
Sample applications are also good, if they happen to do what I want to do.
But unfortunately I'm BCB user and most 3. party samples are in Delphi, so
it's not easy reading :)
