I am just getting 'pissed off' with IBConsole. I only use it for backup
and restore, but it is so cumbersome, and use IB_WISQL for 'who' because
it has a refresh, so I end up leaving both open on the servers. The gbak
icons I had are playing up, so until I can sort them out I will struggle
with what 'seems' to be working.

I am still battling with performance and facilities so have not had time
to check out alternative methods of doing things. I have just lost three
hours because Wingate has decided it does not like Win2k Server so I
have no internet access until I fix it ( or bypass it, but then the kids
complain they can't get on-line! ), just eMail.

I think I'll become a builder - at least you know what the rules are,
and people tend to complain if you try to work unsociable hours.
