No, I'm not convinced in any way and I'm surprised to read what you wrote.
There should be a minimal difference between the registered version and the
evaluation version. You only get the nag screen if you run the app outside
the IDE. If I remembered it, I could give you a long list of commercial
packages for Delphi that simply DO NOT RUN outside Delphi when they aren't
registered. IBo only shows the screen and the app runs with no restrictions.
No time restriction, no functionality restrictions, no additional popups.
Who knows how many IBO applications are working or used privately? Who
knows how many people and which people exactly have the IBO code? Even Jason
ignores the exact history. A cracker will find a way to defeat the nag
screen if that person really finds a pleasure in using pirated programs.
And if you are a person entitled to use IBO for free according to Jason's
rules, then ask him PRIVATELY and he will give you a registered version for
free. Isn't it enough? What else do you want?
I'm not flaming. I'm only surprised with your letter. I have a saying that
may offend a lot of people indirectly: "humans are honest until they are
given the opportunity to be dishonest; after that point, it's a personal
decision to remain honest".
