in most cases, since I migrated a big application from Paradox to Interbase
and found IBObjects faster than the BDE and by a big margin. Also, there
will be no more updates for the BDE in the future and eventually phased out
of Delphi (not totally for Delphi 6). And, BDE doesn't support IB6 Dialect
3 (only dialect 1), unless you use an ODBC driver. At the present time,
I'm still finding some new ways to improve the performance of my
application, because I'm still discovering new stuff in IBObjects, and when
possible I use the native components, but I will not modify over 150 forms
to have all IBO native components.
