AFAIR, the Firebird 1.0.x client still supports it.

With 1.5 there will be problems with path/alias configurations, I
suspect. DatabaseAccess will probably have to be set to FULL. UDF path
restrictions are not applicable to Netware, of course, since Netware
doesn't support them. I don't know what the Netware server does about
character sets.
