Absolutely! the InterBase API speaks native C! Get hold of the APIGuide,
one of the volumes of InterBase 6 documentation set - download the beta
version from ftp://ftpc.inprise.com/pub/interbase/techpubs/ib_b60_doc.zip
or buy a 6.5 media kit from Borland if you need an update (very little has
changed).

That's for sure. Actually, BDE support for IB 6 is not crash-hot - Borland
has pretty much departed from BDE for client/server databases, favouring
instead its DBXpress and its Datasnap (formerly Midas) distributed server
model. These days you are much more likely to see Delphi and Borland C++
users using pecialised third-party products for Firebird and InterBase
connectivity - no BDE, no DBXpress, no ADO.
