The syntax for IB should be defined in the release notes that come with
IB6.5. There's no such facility in IB6.0 and earlier releases. I don't
remember the exact syntax, but it goes after the ORDER BY clause. Go to
http://www.cvalde.com/IbRoadmap.htm
and click on the latest item (December 4) where it says "Bill Todd's
explanation".

select FIRST n SKIP m field_list
from table
