Subject Re: Firebird 1.5 maintenance process/tools.

Hello,

To keep your database healthy you should perform regular backup, garbage collection and validation. For regular backups I would recommend our "Time To Backup" package (see http://www.sqlly.com/timetobackup.html).
To prevent possible database corruptions and monitor database health more closely I would recommend FBDataGuard (see http://www.ib-aid.com/products/firebird_interbase/protection_tools/IBDataGuard-FBDataGuard for details).

What is the recommended maintenance procedure/tools to keep the Firebird database healthy? Our next release will be on Firebird 2.0.5 or 2.1.1 (not sure yet) and possibly adding an Umbuntu environment.
