Can you provide any links/hints to such tools?

Any important "should know about" limitations imposed by Jaybird?

Sorry for my ignorance, but Eclipse is a Java IDE, right? And Jaybird is
the Java "driver" for Firebird, right? So if I find a Java tool, where
does Eclipse come into the picture? Can't I run the Java tools without
Eclipse?
