I should have been more specific,
the python code is done as
ro_transaction = DB.trans(fdb.ISOLATION_LEVEL_READ_COMMITED_RO)
cur = ro_transaction.cursor()
else:
cur = DB.cursor()I don't see any reason this should perform better but
colleagues disagree
