He probably meant DBeaver (https://dbeaver.jkiss.org/), which is a
Java-based database-agnostic SQL tool.

Jaybird doesn't install anything, and AFAIK, neither does Flamerobin do
anything with with firebird.conf. It is more likely the layout of the
specific firebird install on his Linux system.
